A one day course, comprised of rescue technique training and the study of the "snow mantle" to investigate avalanche danger.
Programme of this amazing day
 Morning: training in the use of ARVA equipment and search techniques for avalanche victim rescue. Presentation of the RECCO detection system.
Afternoon: dedicated to terrain analysis for avalanche risk and methods of avoiding avalanche danger whilst in the off-piste environment. Done on skis in a suitable environment in the Chamonix Mont Blanc valley.
GroupsFrom 3 to 6 people per high mountain guide Evolution 2 Chamonix.
Technical level requiredIntermediate skier who have an experience of off piste skiing
