The feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment experienced by a mountaineer at the summit of Mont Blanc is usually enough of a thrill, but to then follow this with an exhilarating descent on skis through a high altitude winter wonderland will make this a trip to remember !

The different routes to climb Mont Blanc

The 3 peak Route : Mont-blanc du Tacul, Mont Maudit et Mont-Blanc

Whether you choose to do this route over 2 or 3 days will depend on your physical condition. We recommend 3 days as you will gradually become acclimatized and therefore be less likely to suffer from altitude sickness.

Heliski
From Courmayeur (30mn drive from Chamonix) you will be transported by helicopter to the Piton des Italiens at an altitude of 4000 metres. Taking the Aiguilles Grises route you will then climb a further 800 metres to reach the summit of Mont Blanc. Altitude is gained quickly so you must be well acclimatized to take this route. The approach to the awesome south face of Mont Blanc from this quieter ridge will make an unforgettable memory.

Descent on skis

The classical descent is that of the Route of the Grands and Petits Plateaux which brings you out either at the mid- station of the Aiguille du Midi Cable car or at the entrance of the MB tunnel (snow conditions permitting). There are other possibilities which the guide may suggest depending on the conditions.

Safety regulations do not allow us to access Mont Blanc by the Grands-Mulets. Conditions permitting, a descent by this route may be possible.

Level required

You must be a competent skier, you must have alpine and crampon experience, you must be physically fit and if possible be acclimatized to altitude.

Length of trip to summit Mont-Blanc

2 or 3 days depending on the route chosen.

From april to june.

Number of participants per guide

2 people maximum per high mountain guide of Evolution 2 Chamonix.

Accommodation

In mountain huts during the trip and under your own arrangements in the valley the night before or the night after the trip if necessary.
