Ski Areas

The Chamonix Valley is composed of several areas accessible from 2000m and up to 3000m altitude. From beginner and steep slopes, or glaciers , each site offers you a multitude of choices, for all kind of tastes and levels.

Facing the Mont Blanc, Chamonix is ​​considered one of the most beautiful sites in the Alps, and whether you are skiing or snowboarding, beginner or experienced thrills, Chamonix will be a good choice for your holidays.

Beginners

One of the ski areas is dedicated to beginner skiers is La Vormaine, located at Le Tour (also called "Domaine du Tour Col de Balme"). Ideal for first timers, and it 's a great destination for beginner skiing & snowboarding groups.

Intermediate

There is a large selection of blue and red runs throughout the Chamonix Valley, you'll be spoilt! We can offer you special sessions for your level and we have several ski areas.

Expert

Chamonix offers a sumptous palette of steep slopes, both on and "off-piste". The "Domaine des Grands-Montets" in particular, remains the privileged site for skiers of a very good level, which makes it possible to ski close to the glacier of Argentière.

Off-Piste

The Chamonix Valley becomes an essential base camp for fans of free-riding, with its fabulous "off-pistes". The most famous one is " the Vallee Blanche",  17kms of "off-piste" skiing on a glacier, a unique adventure!
To be safe with this experience, it's essential you have a  Mountain Guide with you to discover the different possibilities.


Another activity is  "ski touring",  it's practiced throughout the winter, but it's especially in the spring that enthusiasts of this discipline get together to explore the remote slopes of the Valley. Do not forget that the "ski touring" requires a good knowledge of High Mountains, so don't hesitate to seek advice from the Evolution2 Team.

Cross Country skiing

With family or friends, discover the different Nordic areas in the heart of the Chamonix Valley.
For all levels, with itineraries adapted to everyone, discover this sport combining effort and escape at the edge of the forests with a breathtaking view of the mountains of the Valley.

Balme ski area (1453m - 2270m)

In a mountain pasture atmosphere from the villages of Tour and Vallorcine, the" Domaine de Balme "offers you a multiple skiing and boarding area. In the area of ​​Charamillon, enjoy the wide tracks facing the valley of Chamonix, while the other sector of Vallorcine will allow you to ski at the edge of the Swiss border. It's superb with it's South facing, wide motorway run areas.

Brévent & Flégère Ski Area (1030m - 2525m)

These two areas are connected by a cable car, and they are one of the most beautiful sites in the Alps. Facing south, they invite you to enjoy various slopes facing the Mont-Blanc. Enjoy the sun in sumptuous surroundings, and ski slopes that will accommodate all kinds of skiers and boarders.

Brévent side : Starts at the ski lift "2000", blue and red slopes, a new Freestyle Space equipped with a Freestyle Airbag, and with 5 rails.
Flégère side : Test your speed and your limits! Blow up the counters on the speed track, near the Chavanne. Great area for intermediates.

 

 Grands Montets (1235m -3300m)

The slopes "Lognan" and the "Pendant", offer you multiple choices and grandiose "off-pistes". For Skiing or snowboarding, you can shred near the glacier Argentière (only accessible on "ski touring" or "splitboard" as the cable car doesn't exist anymore) and enjoy a remarkable snow cover until May. For all the "freestyle enthusiasts", a Snowpark and a Boardercross will wait for you, on the Lognan area. It's an amazing intermediate and above, North facing area with great coverage most of the winter.

For the "Freestyle Park" at Grands Montets: You will be fully filmed, thanks to several HDTV cameras, located along the snowpark.

Les Houches Ski Area ( 950m -1900m )

 An exceptional 360 ° panorama of the Mont-Blanc Massif is offered from the top, 55 km of trails in the forest, which allows you to discover all the pleasures of skiing. The resort also has an artificial snow tank, with more than 120 snow cannons spread all over the area.
