Ski Areas

The Chamonix Valley is composed of several areas accessible from 2000m and up to 3000m altitude. From slopes for beginners, steep slopes to downhill, or glaciers , each site offers you a multitude of choices, for all tastes and all levels.

Facing the Mont Blanc chain, Chamonix is ​​considered one of the most beautiful sites in the Alps, and whether you are skiing and snowboarding, beginner or experienced thrills, Chamonix will be a good choice for your holiday.

Beginners

One of the ski areas more dedicated to beginner skiers is located at the Tour (also called Domaine du Tour Col de Balme). Ideal for the first descents and sensations of movement, it is the privileged destination for beginner ski or snowboard groups.

Intermediate

There is a large selection of blue and red runs throughout the Chamonix Valley, you'll be spoiled for choice! We offer courses for your level and several ski areas, to allow you to explore all the terrain!

Expert

Chamonix offers a sumptuous palette of steep slopes both on and off piste. The Domaine des Grands-Montets in particular, remains the privileged site for skiers of very good level and also makes it possible to ski close to the glacier of Argentière.

Off-Piste

The Chamonix Valley becomes an essential base camp for fans of free-ride skiing, with its fabulous off-piste sites. Its most famous descent, the Vallee Blanche, offers 17km of off-piste skiing on a glacier field to ski among sumptuous seracs: a unique adventure.
This experience of high mountain means its essential you have a  Mountain Guide to enable you to discover the different routes possible, and in complete safety.


Another activity "nature": ski touring. It is practiced throughout the winter, but it is especially in the spring that enthusiasts of this discipline get together to explore the remote slopes of the Valley. Do not forget that ski touring requires a good knowledge of High Mountain, so do not hesitate to seek advice from the Guides of Evolution2.

Cross Country skiing

With family, friends or alone, discover the different Nordic areas in the heart of the Chamonix Valley.
For all levels, with itineraries adapted to everyone, discover this sport combining effort and escape at the edge of the forests with a breathtaking view of the mountains of the Valley.

Balme ski area (1453m - 2270m)

Ski nature : in a mountain pastures atmosphere from the villages of Tour and Vallorcine, the Domaine de Balme offers a multiple ski on two distinct slopes. In the area of ​​Charamillon, enjoy wide tracks gently facing the valley of Chamonix, while the sector of Vallorcine will allow you to ski in the fir trees at the edge of the Swiss border.

Brévent/Flégère ski area (1030m - 2525m)

Ski panorama : these two areas connected by a cable car are one of the most beautiful sites in the Alps. Facing south, it invites you to enjoy various slopes facing the Mont-Blanc range. Enjoy the sun in sumptuous surroundings and ski slopes that meet the requirements of all types of skiers.

Brévent side : start of the ski lift 2000, blues and reds, a new freestyle space equipped with a Freestyle airbag, 5 rails
Flégère side : Test your speed, test your limits, blow up the counters on the speed track near the Chavanne. Great area for intermediates South facing

 

Domaine skiable des Grands Montets (1235m -3300m)

The slope on two sides (Lognan and the Pendant) offer multiple choices of slopes and grandiose off-piste. In skiing or snowboarding, you can shred near the glacier Argentière (only accessible ski touring or splitboard as the cable car does not exist anymore) and enjoy a remarkable snow cover until May. For freestyle enthusiasts, a snowpark and a boardercross await you on the Lognan area.

Freestyle Park at Grands Montets: you are fully filmed thanks to several HDTV cameras located along the route of the snowpark.

Houches ski area ( 950m -1900m )

The area for family. An exceptional 360 ° panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif is offered from the top : 55 km of trails in the forest allow you to discover all the pleasures of skiing. The resort also has artificial snow thanks to more than 120 snow cqnnons spread over the area.
